Ipsos Insight is a business unit of Ipsos, the global market research firm. PharmTrends provides today's most complete and up-to-date picture of healthcare consumers' behavior trends. Our Methodology and Research

The Ipsos PharmTrends syndicated tracking service captures both prescription fulfillment and over-the-counter purchasing behavior as well as health related activities for each family member through a longitudinal and continuous consumer panel of 16,000 households that is representative of the U.S. Census composition. Each month since 1997, panelists report their prescription and over-the-counter purchases and health related activities for the treatment of a full spectrum of conditions. The PharmTrends methodology produces high-quality consumer insight at a low cost through omnibus collection; a static, longitudinal panel; open-ended drug coding; consumer self-reporting of the condition treated; and periodic panelist surveys that combine attitudes with behavior.
