BC NDP Retain Lead in Ever Tightening Race

Vancouver, BC – An Ipsos Reid poll taken Wednesday and Thursday of this week shows Christy Clark and the BC Liberals continuing to show positive movement as the campaign nears an end. On decided vote, the BC Liberals still trail the NDP by 6 points, but have cut the gap from 19 points at the start of the campaign and from 10 points in our previous poll released one week ago. On leadership, Christy Clark now leads Adrian Dix by 3 points as best premier, an improvement from a 13 point deficit for Clark at the start of the campaign and a 3 point deficit for Clark in our previous poll.

BC Liberals Cut NDP Lead in Half

Vancouver, BC - An Ipsos Reid poll taken in the days following the leaders’ debate shows positive movement for both the BC Liberals and leader Christy Clark. The NDP lead among decided voters has fallen from 19 points at the start of the campaign to 10 points today. And Adrian Dix’s lead over Christy Clark as Best Premier has fallen from 13 points to just 3 points today.

Vancouver, BC - Ipsos Reid conducted an online poll immediately following the April 29th televised leaders’ debate. Survey respondents were pre-recruited to watch the debate and provide their opinions on the performance of the various leaders. The respondents were recruited to be reflective of British Columbia voters, by age, sex, region and party preferences.

Vancouver, BC – As the BC election campaign gets officially underway, a new Ipsos Reid poll shows the NDP maintaining its 19 point lead over the BC Liberals among decided voters. Both of the top two parties have lost some support to the BC Conservatives and Greens in the past month.
