Ipsos Healthcare Appoints Head of Syndicated Services in Asia Pacific
Shanghai, China - Ipsos Healthcare, the global healthcare division of Ipsos, has announced the appointment of David Twinberrow as Head of Syndicated Services, Asia Pacific.
Based in Shanghai, Twinberrow will spearhead the planned expansion and development of the company’s market-leading Therapy Monitor portfolio in Asia Pacific. The portfolio, which tracks usage of drug treatments in 20+ disease areas and 31 markets worldwide, is the largest suite of disease-specific patient chart review studies in the industry.
Twinberrow will report into Rhoda Schmuecking, President – Global Therapy Monitors, and Jackie Ilacqua, President – Oncology Portfolio. (In Japan, Ipsos Healthcare’s Therapy Monitors will continue to be led by William Hall.)
Commenting on his new position, Twinberrow said, “Joining Ipsos Healthcare is a really exciting move for me; the Therapy Monitors are already the gold standard for patient chart review data globally, and there is great potential for developing these and other syndicated services to meet our clients’ changing information needs in Asia Pacific.”
Rhoda Schmuecking, Ipsos Healthcare’s President of Global Therapy Monitors, added, “We are delighted to welcome David on board; his vast expertise in the pharma industry, in the APAC market, and in specific key disease areas will combine to further strengthen our offering in this critical and growing region.”
Twinberrow joins Ipsos from IMS, where he was VP of Strategy and Market Development for the China region. Prior to this, he led the team tasked with growing IMS’ information business lines across APAC – focusing on developing and improving their core audits and syndicated information, which included the launch of the Oncology Analyzer. Before joining IMS, Twinberrow worked as a consultant, developing and marketing oncology patient management systems in the UK; this followed a 12-year period in the UK pharmaceutical industry at companies including Amgen, GSK and Servier.
