Ipsos and Georgian College: ‘Partners for the Future of Research’
Canada’s Largest Market Research Firm Named Distinguished Partner of Barrie-based College

Toronto, ON – A 16-year relationship has been recognized with a special honour. Georgian College has named Ipsos as a Distinguished Partner – the first and only market research firm to receive this distinction. Part of the college’s Board of Governor’s Awards of Distinction program, the award recognizes partners in the community who have “made an exemplary contribution in support of student access and success, as well as the mission and goals of the college”.
“It is a truly unique honour for Ipsos,” says Jordan Levitin, Senior Vice President with Ipsos Reid in Toronto and the primary liaison between the two organizations. “Georgian’s Research Analyst program is central to our industry, graduating 30 to 40 researchers every year who can be hired with the skills and understanding that will make them – and us – successful.”
Over the 16 years, Ipsos has been active in the Advisory Committee for the program. The company sponsors the John H. Fryer Award celebrating excellence in project work, contributes to a highly effective recruitment website, and provides several internship opportunities every year for students in the program. Each year, Ipsos researchers are also invited to the College to lecture on a number of topics, providing real-world guidance to students.
