Research Associate – Culver City, CA

Position Summary

As a Research Associate, you play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic insights to our clients through the execution of research projects. Working in our media, content and technology division, your work includes a variety of studies requiring sharp time management skills and a keen attention to detail. You will learn to be conversant in quantitative research design, and gain experience managing key market research projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage survey research projects, within timelines and budgets, including working closely with colleagues in our Operations groups to oversee all operational components of projects.
  • Coordinate the launching and maintenance of market research studies including online survey proofing , ordering and monitoring sample, monitoring project status (in collaboration with sample) – tracking incidence/length  of surveys, and running frequencies or other data reports in SPSS/Desktop Reporter
  • Assist in questionnaire design and perform in-depth quality checks including updating and testing questionnaires
  • Act as a liaison with our internal colleagues and vendors to oversee operational components of projects (data collection, programming, data processing and coding teams)
  • Assist in data analysis planning and data verification (including writing tab plans).
  • Assist in preparing client reports and presentations (Report shell creation/tabling)
  • Develop an understanding of our clients’ business issues and the industries in which they operate.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships through exceptional service and consultation.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in marketing, marketing research, or social sciences.
  • 0-2+ years quantitative supplier-side market research experience.
  • Self-motivated, analytical individual with an attention-to-detail who strives in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.
  • Superior organizational, multi-tasking, decision-making and problem solving abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Works well in a team environment with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Working knowledge of SPSS a plus, but not training will be provided.
